He received the academic title of Associate Professor Doctor from Kutahya University of Health Sciences, Faculty of Medicine (2020). The medical areas of interest of Serhat Yalcinkaya are lung cancer, pleural diseases, mediastinal diseases, chest wall deformities, thoracic traumas, pneumothorax, pleural effusion, thoracic outlet syndrome, diaphragmatic diseases.
