Assoc. Prof. Dr.  Ufuk Arslan

The Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ufuk Arslan completed his general surgery specialty at Istanbul Okmeydani Training and Research Hospital and his minor specialty in gastroenterology surgery at Abant Izzet Baysal University.

Dr. Arslan worked in the fields of liver transplantation, HIPEC (hot chemotherapy) and laparoscopic colorectal surgery at Dokuz Eylul University for 6 months, and at Ankara University for 1 month during his minor specialty education.

Working on robotic surgery at Erzurum Regional Training and Research Hospital for 1 year, Dr. Arslan then worked at Istanbul Training and Research Hospital for 1 year on ERCP, pancreatic and biliary tract surgery.

Having served mainly in the fields of obesity surgery, cancer surgery and ERCP in public hospitals in Bursa between 2019-2022, the Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ufuk Arslan was entitled to receive the title of associate professor in the field of gastroenterology surgery in 2022.

Dr. Arslan, in his professional career, has performed more than 2000 ERCP, more than 500 obesity and metabolic surgery (sleeve gastrectomy, gastric bypass, transit bipartition, SADI-S, duedenal switch), hundreds of laparoscopic colon and rectal surgeries, stomach cancer D2 and D3 dissection, whipple procedure to more than 50 pancreatic cancers, and more than 15 laparoscopic-thoracoscopic esophageal surgeries.

In addition to these, Dr. Arslan performs surgeries requiring intraabdominal advance level laparoscopy such as laparoscopic hernia surgery, laparoscopic surrenal-spleen surgery, achalasia surgery, nissenfundoplication, laparoscopic reflux surgery, laparoscopic rectal prolapse and rectocele treatment.

The Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ufuk Arslan also has serious experience in methods such as anocutaneous flap, LIFT, VAAFT in proctological diseases such as anal stricture, complicated anal fistula, which no surgeon is willing to apply.
